Safari Overview
A fast-paced Northern Tanzania safari for travellers with limited time who still want elephants in Tarangire, Big Five action in the Ngorongoro Crater, and a taste of Lake Natron's dramatic Rift Valley landscapes. Private 4×4 throughout; early starts and efficient routing maximise every hour.
Best for guests with a late Day 3 departure flight — the final day is long, with a scenic drive to Natron's alkali shores and flamingo viewing (seasonal) before returning to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
Detailed Itinerary
Arusha — Tarangire National Park
Morning pickup from JRO or your Arusha lodge and drive straight to Tarangire for a full-day game drive — elephant herds, baobabs, and predators along the river. Bush lunch in the park before continuing to your lodge near Karatu.
Ngorongoro Crater
Very early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive on the caldera floor — black rhino, lion prides, flamingos on Lake Magadi, and dense wildlife. Ascend to the rim in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Lake Natron — Farewell at Arusha / Airport
Pre-dawn departure for the scenic drive to Lake Natron. Morning at the alkali lake shore for flamingo viewing (seasonal) and views of Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, then continue back toward Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
