Safari Overview
Meet Maasai hosts on their terms: a community-led visit to a working boma (homestead enclosure), not a staged show. You’ll be welcomed into daily life — livestock, beadwork, architecture, and storytelling — with time for respectful questions and unhurried conversation.
Village entrance fees flow to the community; optional craft purchases are direct from artisans. Traditional song and the warriors’ jumping dance (Adumu) may be shared when the community chooses to offer them — we never pressure hosts to “perform on demand.” Optional camel ride where available (extra).
Detailed Itinerary
Maasai Village Cultural Experience
Morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi (around 8:00–9:00 AM). Scenic drive (about 45–90 minutes, depending on the village location) through rolling countryside to a Maasai boma. After a welcome, visit a manyatta home and learn how dwellings are built and used across seasons. Walk with hosts to see small livestock and hear how grazing and market life fit together today.
Share tea or conversation; join or watch song and dance if offered. Browse beadwork at leisure — purchases are always optional. Optional short camel ride where available (extra cost). Return to Arusha or Moshi by late afternoon.
